Kapantay Ay Langit - Mom and Jazzie's Version

Nov. 1, 2011, was dad's 3rd year death anniversary. We had our lunch at Rose and Grace Restaurant in Sta. Rosa Laguna, after which we visited dad's grave at Eternal Gardens Memorial Park. It was raining hard while we're having our lunch, but thankfully the sun shone again so it was a pleasant visit at the memorial park. The funny thing was we were surprised to find a bouquet of flowers on dad's grave. Everyone was grinning...who came first and placed those flowers before us?...dads girlfriend?...hahaha...

We learned that the family next to dad's grave thought of offering some flowers to dad since its already afternoon and there was no one who visited yet. Well it became a funny joke for a while...:))

Back at BelAir, as we were preparing to travel back home, I was so surprised when mom approached and joined us in the living room. We were having a little kasayahan singing while all our luggage were being loaded in the car. When Cita, my mom's yaya played the song "Kapantay Ay Langit", mama joined me in singing this song. She really sang the song all through-out. It was awesome... she was awesome that day. My first time to see her sang like that. I'm so glad, so love to see her having such a great time. Thanks to Len and Boyet for the VIDEO. Here's the link of the video: http://youtu.be/cbJQZk-NiJU

Night-Life Treat At 17th Avenue

My 2 sisters-in-law, Carmen and Maritess came for a visit here in Pampanga. One of the things we made them to experience here is something that we actually don't normally do..."night-life". 17th Avenue is the place...so far the only place we know where you can dine or just have some cocktails while watching a band play .

It so happened that on that night, a little later during the bands 2nd set, only a couple or 3 tables were left occupied with customers, that includes us. So what the band did was to ask from the audience a volunteer to sing with them...and of course I volunteered...hahaha.

Since the Jazz song I chose to sing was not in their list of songs, they suggested to me a Carpenter's song Close To You . I love the song though not the type that I wanted to sing but I sang it anyway. Here is the link: http://youtu.be/bCEFOy3qe48
Well it made my night...I had fun. Thanks to my hubby for video recording this. ^_^

'Parol' - Visit To Hau's Museum

HauIt was Friday, July 1, 2011, Veejay just arrived home a few days ago when we went to visit the Holy Angel University's museum, as per the invitation of her sister Jinjie. We had fun tinkering on a displayed "Parol' -Christmas lantern - that lit up once a lever is manually churned. We had a spledid time viewing the displays and photo shooting at the museum that day. Thanks Jinjie. Here's the VIDEO and a couple of photos of our tour to the museum.
