Blue Skies

Irving Berlin

Blue skies smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies do I see

Bluebirds singing the song

Nothing but bluebirds all day long

I never saw the sun shining so bright

Never saw things going so right

Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my, how they fly

Blue days all of them gone

Nothing but blue skies from now on.

I first heard this song from my eldest daughter's song selections which she plays almost everyday at home during her summer break from college.
"Blue Skies" was composed by Irving Berlin in 1926.
Here's a link of this song "Blue Skies" by Frank Sinatra with Tommy Dorsey.

  1. It remains a favorite, and a special theme song between my friend and I -- a reminder of the good times we had, and good times we look forward to. :)
